Ladysmith
Ladysmith is a cozy town of about 8,000 people nestled on the east coast of Vancouver Island in the northern Cowichan Valley. The town is set on a hillside overlooking the protected waters of Ladysmith Harbour, and has the laid back charm of a seaside village.
The heart of the town is its historic downtown, where people still chat with their neighbours in cafés and shop in little boutiques.
While the town is growing, at heart Ladysmith will always be a small town. Greenways, ocean-side walking trails, beaches, and parks enhance the relaxed sense of community.
