The airport currently has service from Vancouver, but big changes are afoot. The airport recently secured major funding for expansion and improvements, opening it up for flights from Edmonton, Calgary and the Pacific Northwest.
The expansion will be flight-ready by December 17, 2009.
By ferry
Ladysmith Marina is also conveniently located near two BC Ferries terminals. Departure Bay in Nanaimo (about 25 minutes away) has service to Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver. Duke Point terminal (20 minutes away) connects to Tsawwassen, the main Vancouver ferry terminal.
